Vintage Sterling Silver Inlaid Paneled Hummingbird Concho Belt

Benjamin Becenti, Navajo 

Born around 1950, Benjamin Becenti is the son of Robert Becenti, Sr and the brother of Robert Becenti Jr. He is from Crownpoint, New Mexico. He has been active in inlay work since the 1970s.

Excellent Condition.

Time Period: 1970-1979.

Fantastic Belt with inlaid hummingbirds. Hallmarked BB on the back side. Concho's are placed on a new piece of leather, but kept the old leather which will be provided with the piece. The old piece of leather is 40" in length and the new piece measures 36" in length and 1 1/2" wide. No holes have been punched into this leather. The belt contains Turquoise, mother of pearl, acoma jet, red coral or orange spiny oyster. A total of 9 concho's each measuring 3 7/8" wide by 2 3/4" tall. Belt loops are likely brass or copper.
